About Me

Describe Yourself:

I'm, in this order, a husband, father, lawyer, writer.

I'm working at keeping the weight off.

I need another 15 minutes of sleep in the morning.

I wish they'd rerun my favorite TV shows on Saturday night.

I'd like to be like Jim but I think I'm more like Dwight.

I sometimes regret that my life is such that Saturday night is now a good night for watching TV.

If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I'd give serious thought to making it Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch.

I secretly give tastes of grape jelly to my baby boys when I think my wife won't know, but I suspect she catches me.

I sometimes forget that my Saturday nights when I was young were frequently spent watching TV, too.

Over a year ago, I began working to keep my desk neat and as I write this, it's spotless.

That's when I also began wearing a tie to work Monday through Thursday.

I don't appear to take many things seriously but I am.

Someday, I and my family will live in Hawaii and I will never miss snow.

David Sedaris: I wish I was as funny as him. He makes me squirt milk out of my nose. Even when I'm not drinking milk. I also like Susanna Clarke, John Irving, Dave Eggers, and Nick Hornsby. Writing about me at "Thinking The Lions, " Writing about things I think are great at "The Best of Everything", Writing about sports at Nonsportsmanlike Conduct, Writing horror stories at &#lt;a Under the Eyes Of God, And I write things that I don't self-publish, including both horror and "regular" fiction., Beyond that, I like playing guitar and piano, I like cooking, I like to exercise but I don't do that too much these days (a shame, what with all the cooking), and I like spending time with my family, which is why I don't do more writing., And I make t-shirts and stuff. Everything, really.
